Migrant Space - Bosnia 2021

Nearly 8,000 migrants are stranded in Bosnia because of the difficulty of crossing the Croatian border on their route to other EU countries. Bihac has between 40,000 and 45,000 inhabitants. It is not clear how many refugees there are in the city. From 4,000 to 6,000 approximately.Most await their opportunity to enter Europe are housed in camps of the World Migration Organization (IOM) in different cities of the country.

Those who do not have access to these fields for different reasons such as not having their documentation or not having enough space in the IOM, look for accommodation on the outskirts of the city in abandoned facilities such as factories and half-built houses.

.The majority come from Afghanistan and Pakistan, along with other countries such as: Iran, Iraq, Egypt, among others. Its main objective is to cross Croatia, the gateway to Europe, however many are deported and return to Bosnia to try again.
